73195: Let's Roll! (Lisa Beamer's Story) Let's Roll! (Lisa Beamer's Story)
By Lisa Beamer

Heroism - it's not something you're taught in school. But when terrorist hijackers commandeered United Flight 93, Todd Beamer was prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now his widow, Lisa, tells their story; discusses Todd's life and character; and reveals the reason for her hope and strength. An inspiring story of a true hero. Please scroll down this page to listen to excerpts of this amazing story. Click the above link to listen to audio clip. 280 pages, hardcover from Tyndale.

I could not read this book without crying my eyes out, while holding great admiration for the both Todd and Lisa Beamer. Their testimony gives me more courage and faith to live whole-heartedly and unapologetically for God. Would to God He'd raise up more men like this true hero on United Flight 93!

56696: The Hiding Place The Hiding Place
By Corrie Ten Boom

When the Nazis invaded Holland, Corrie ten Boom's quiet life turned into a nightmare. Because she made her home a "hiding place" for Jews, she and her family were sent to a concentration camp. Refusing to despair, Corrie discovered how Jesus can turn loss to glory! This unforgettable story will move you to tears and to joy.

I first read this book as a teen girl and have never ever forgotten what the ten Booms went through to protect the Jews from the Nazis. But more so, I've never forgotten the MIRACLES that God did for them, as they went through more torment and struggles than we can ever know. This book really boosted my faith. I like to take it out now and then and re-read. - Janet

By Elisabeth Elliot

The Savage, My Kinsman tells the story, in text and pictures, of Elisabeth Elliot's venture into Auca territory three years after the death of her husband, Jim Elliot. Elisabeth and her daughter Valerie, then three years old, returned to the jungle along with Rachel Saint, the sister of one of the other slain men. The linguistic work of these women brought Christ's message of salvation to the tribe that had killed their loved ones. They became the first to enter Auca territory--and live to tell the story.

00310: George Mueller George Mueller
By Faith Bailey

George Mueller (1805-1898) was a leader in the Plymouth Brethren movement in England and a founder of Christian orphanages. This story tells of his conversion to the Christian faith and his subsequent ministry to orphans in Bristol. Starting small, Mueller was eventually housing, educating and training 2,000 boys and girls. His faith in God's ability to provide for his work and the children offers some astounding stories of how God works daily miracles. A good book of faith and encouragement.

I read this book as a teen girl. If you want your faith challenged, then you must read this book! You will realize how much of our faith today is really lip service.- Janet
